Contract – Technical Writer

Sound interesting? We’re looking for a contract technical writer to join our growing team. In this position, you will create easy-to-understand internal and external user guides and product specification documents. A strong technical background, clear communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others is a must.

Key Responsibilities

– Develops a thorough understanding of the audience and the documentation required by meeting with colleagues, and working with managers
– Writes and revises supporting content for products
– Meets with subject matter experts in order to ensure that specialized topics are appropriately addressed and discussed
– Edits material prepared by others
– Incorporates photographs and illustrations to increase users’ understanding of material
– Standardizes content across platforms and media
– Collects feedback to update and improve content

Qualifications and Experience

– Proven experience working in a technical writing position
– Familiarity with CNC systems is a huge bonus
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including willingness and ability to consult subject matter experts from many departments
– Proficiency in MS office
– Strong attention to detail with a creative eye

CNC Machine Operator/Programmer

Sound interesting? We’re looking for an organized, results-focused individual with strong technical expertise for this important client facing position. Using your strong interpersonal and communication skills you will conduct product demonstrations, install equipment and software, and train and support clients. Your previous experience working with CNC technology is a strong foundation as you learn about Streamlines’ Frog3D wide range of products and solutions. You have a valid Alberta driver’s license, a current Canadian passport and are available for domestic and international travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site installation and training of Streamline Automation equipment and software to clients around the globe.
• Provide high level client support, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Prepare materials and conduct training and product demonstrations.
• Continuously maintain and update your knowledge of CNC technology and Streamline products and solutions.
• Test software and equipment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Technical Diploma or Degree and/or 3 to 5 years of technical work experience
• Strong machining experience including experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathe
• CAM programming experience
• Knowledge and experience working with machines and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge in robotics, mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, information processing, basic electricity, and motor and motion control would be an asset.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of and experience with industrial production and assembly.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of 3D modelling software including SketchUp, Rhino, SolidWorks, ZBrush, ArtCAM, Fusion 360, PowerMill, Mastercam, Aspire pro.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
• Proactive with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Committed to continual professional development, learning and growth.

Domestic and International travel is required – must have an up-to-date Canadian passport and the ability to travel.

We’re looking for an organized, results-focused Administrator/Receptionist who can assist our staff with administrative duties, running errands, bookkeeping, sales orders, shipping, customer service etc. Our ideal candidate is positive, motivated, driven and demonstrates the desire to work within a team.

Key Responsibilities

Act as primary point of contact for customers
Answer calls and email inquiries in a professional manner
Provide general office support
Accounting – Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Invoicing, Bank deposits
Filing and organization
Process sales orders in a timely, accurate manner
Arrange shipments, schedule deliveries, pickups and collections as required
UPS, FedEX and other applicable couriers
Shipping and Trucking cross border
International Ocean Freight
Process orders and complete inventory of supplies
Deal with shipping and warranty issues
Work as part of a team, with a wide variety of tasks assigned to you
Booking and Managing Travel arrangements
Running errands i.e. Bank deposits, coffee or lunch runs for customers, supply pick up etc.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 2 years relevant experience
*A combination of experience and education will be taken into consideration

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge of Windows Operating System (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
